Since I downloaded the last update I have not been able to synch my phone with the native HTC desktop synch. Further, just about everytime I close and application a "reboot" type screen appears that has "HTC" in green with a white background. Also, since the last update the battery power retention sucks canal water.

Has anyone had these same problems?

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Or, does anyone have a work around?

Please help and advise....THANK YOU in advance.

Because it is stock, a factory reset is your best bet. As of right now there isn't a way to root it so you can go back to 2.2.

OK So I backed up everything on the SD, and performed a factory reset....

And the piece of sheet phone still wont synch!!!

The synchronization summary says in red type:

Errors: 2 General
Error Due To: Connection to mobile phone timed out

I dont understand this because the phone was connected using the stock USB cable, and within mere seconds of the synch starting it started and these error messages appeared....

Any suggestions? Any ideas? Does anyone know what the hell is going on here?

Did the rest help with the foreclosing of applications?

As for the syncing, I tried it when I first got the phone last year and never had any luck with it. So I'm no help with that issue as I don't use it.

Were you ever able to get your phone to synch with MS Outlook?

Uninstall you htc sync software on your computer and reinsatll the latest version. Also there has been confirmed problems with the stock HTC usb cable; so if possible use a different one, and use the usb ports on the back of the computer instead of the ones in the front if you are. Did the white screen with the HTC logo go away after the factory reset?

OK I will do all that.

Also, the white screen did in fact go away. Why do you ask?
Just wondering if forward progress was made regarding what smokecrawler mentioned to do, and it sounds like there was. I think these things are two seperate issues and with the reinstall you will probably have success with that as well. I have heard that the older htc sync software doesn't always play nice after a reset or upgrade in this case.

If I helped you hit the thanks button...

Glad to see that the reset helped with the reboot issue.

I would try what mikiemike suggest.
