first i would like to say i am a complete idiot with this stuff and very much oblivious about what to do..

hopefully this will help you to help me..

my main objective really is to be able to watch movies on my phone using either divx tuff or adobe flash player stuff. however those who are familiar with the phoenix know its a pos that dont allow flash player and alot of web viewing.. iv been told that if you root your phone you would be able to do more things with it.. i used gingrbreak to root it and did so successfully..my question is what can i do with my rooted phone.. what can i do with my phone in general now to make it cooler or more useful for fun.. there is no service on it i just use the wifi i pick up to facebook and yourtube and things like that... can i update it to a better version so i can get flash players and stuff.. some1 help me pls

Well here are your options for video. You can root and use a hacked version of flash (you will have to search I don't know much about it) I don't think divx is really a possibility. Your second option is a different browser (cant remember the name) it does some of the processing of videos on external servers and then serves it up to you. I tried it a while back and didnt have much luck with it.
