Help! Random icon appeared

Yesterday I opened up my text messages and there was this red circle with something in the middle. It just appeared over night and I cant find how to remove it. Attached is a screen shot.

It's also on my recent calls but grey in there.

Did you enable multi-line settings or enrolled your number in DIGITS (if on T-Mobile)? That's the main line icon and shows up so you can tell which line the thread belongs to. If enabled (and don't want to disable it), you can also customize how that icon looks with different icon shapes and color options.

Just search for Mutli-line in your settings

If you never do a device maintenance + clearing ram, your device can shut down the ability to see apps to save resources if it becomes over loaded.
