Help selecting aftermarket stereo for 2013 Honda CR-V

I have no idea how to even go about this. Does anyone know what kind of things to look for when selecting a system to ensure its compatible with a vehicle? Any metrics/features/etc. I should pay attention to? Or if anyone simply has any suggestions for said vehicle? I'd like to get Android Auto in my vehicle and it's a 2013 Honda CR-V LX. I've never research aftermarket stereos before though. Any help would be appreciated. If it makes any difference, the phone I'd be using is a Pixel XL.

I would get on a forum for your Honda and see what actual owners are using. Go to a stereo installation shop and see what they offer. We're not the correct site for what you need to know, and AA is a very small part of what you want.
