Using stock keyboard and lets say I'm trying to type "and" And i accidentally type "adb" once I click the space bar it SAVES IT! So every time I go and try to type and it thinks and shows adb! Same thing happens with EVERY WORD! I misspell "message" and type "meaasge" so it saves in the dictionary memory! Someone please tell me I am missing a setting in keyboard settings! I tried so many different things!

Anyone? Your help is greatly appreciated.

I dont think you can prevent it from adding words, but you can go in an edit the dictionary and delete the ones you didnt want to be added. If I am wrong, I would like to know how to do this also.

ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW A FIX? Yes you can delete the words but I did that a couple times to realize it's pointless cuz you will go right back to typing something wrong again and it will automatically save.

Someone has to know how to stop it from saving! My old phone I had to click on the word and it will say do you want to save this word? and all I had to do was click it again to save.

Mine only keeps the words if you type the word it turns blue in the bar and you tap the blue word. I hardly use the space bar. Maybe this will help.

I suggest using SwiftKey keyboard... It's way better and has its own custom dictionary u can add and delete words to and it learns from how you type... Way better than stock

How do i edit my dictionary? Is that somewhere in the settings?

Go to settings -> language & input -> select the desired keyboard setting by clicking the sprocket -> personal dictionary

Ditch the stock keyword and use swift key from the play store, you won't regret it.

Fix : change from stock. I use swiftkey3 and it will save words if you type them 2-3 times but not once. It starts to learn and show words you normally type when typing.. It just has to learn.

Or you can try Swype. Some people love it but it's not my cup of tea. I can say though swiftkey3 and Swype are the 2 top android keyboards.

So try that imo.

Just downloaded it and so far its good. Its not worth $3.99 though

It will get better with time. It has to learn what you type. There are times I can type 2 letters and a type a sentence without touching the keys anymore.. It learned the normal things I'll text a bunch to friends (such as "what are you doing?" )

If you just downloaded its still building.
