I think I have a bad download of the .5 file from xda. I cannot open it with windows explorer (and not really sure if I'm supposed to be able to) and don't want to flash a bad file. How can I check it to make sure its not corrupt? Is there another location to download it other than the link on xda? I've tried it 4 different times and keep getting same results as far as windows explorer not opening it. The file size is 440.4 mb that I have downloaded so that seems right at least.

You shouldn't need to open the .zip.. place it on the root of your sdcard then flash in recorvery. In the revolutionary sticky it explains how to downgrade in the newest posts.

Search for an app called hash Droid or something. Then compare the md5 code from your download and.make sure it matches to the code listed for the download. If they match, download is good.

it will say the file is corrupted if you try to open it, I used the same file to downgrade and it worked fine
