Help with Google app

I just upgraded from LG G3 to V30. It was very simple on G3 but on V30 I cant find settings anywhere to make Google save my searches. It was very useful to have it syncing with computer. Now nothing saves (except in recent tab, which is not what I'm looking for). And it's not in Acc&Privacy

Also, on G3 I could have as many Google apps (searches) open I wanted. For example I'd search something in the app, minimize it (go to home screen), and search again something *from* the home screen with Google app and I'd have two separate apps/windows open. On V30 if I do the same the new search "closes" the old one thus I'm left with only one window.

How make these things the way they used to?? (I'm new to android, so don't know much)

What you describe as wanting to do is accomplished by opening the Google browser, logging into your Google account, and adjusting your settings. Select open new window for each tab, turn on your sync, tweak the rest and you should be set.

I was able to get searches to sync (disabled trending searches). But after setting to open new searches searches didn't change anything. I'll dig more onto it
