HELP: with nexus s 4g on boost network

i have a sprint nexus s 4g on boost network. Had it done yesterday and everything seemed fine. Phone works, 611 works and even internet on 3g but my texting and mms dont work. Contacted boost i am told 72 for network to recognize device is there any truth to this please advise cause i use texting alot and really hate third party texting apps. Please help:'(
