Hey guys (and girls), I am having issues getting my GS3 to take a good charge. I am rooted and have the normal checklist turned off: sync, wi fi, screen rotation, ect.... I was wondering if anyone can share some SetCPU profiles for charging or screen off/stand by... I'm hoping that maybe underclocking my CPU while charging will help at all.... I'm looking forawrd to hearing back from yall

Thanks,
DubLJay

If your phone is not charging properly I would suggest returning it to Sprint. What exactly the problem?

I was down all the way to 11% battery last night before bed.. I plugged my phone in to charge and when I woke up around 6 it was still at 11%. I reset my phone and took my battery and sd card out. Then put just the battery back in and here it is 4 hours later and I'm at 60% now... Is it possible the sd card is the issue?

It's not likely. I would guess it would more likely be either a battery or phone issue. But since it seems to be working now, it may have been a poor connection between the battery and the contracts. Reseating it may have fixed or temporarily fixed it. I would reinstall the sdcard and keep an eye on it. If it does it again, don't touch the battery and just pull the card and see what happens.

If it is in the battery or phone Sprint should fix it.

never even thought of this before. I hate how slow this thing charges and the charger (700 amps charges at the highest speed possible... right?). Might try this although I don't really like messing with kernels or anything

That was happening with me. Luckily, I had another charging cable, and it worked fine with that. I just took the cable back to sprint, they gave me a new one. It was actually the cable, and not the piece that plugs into the wall.

Turned it was my charging cable. I forgot I even posted this topic.. Lol Thanks for everyone who tried to help =-)

Lol... One year later

Haha I moved on to bigger and better things and my charging cable has become the least of my worries at times. Avoiding softbricks, bootloops, and remembering which gapps to flash are my main concerns now.. Lol.

If you were my wife, I wouldn't let you leave the room until you said "Bill (Dad2noah), You were right, as usual", lol
It's not often I;m right, so when it happens, I relish in it.
