Need your help. I convinced a friend to move from an IPhone 5 to the 6P. She does not use the icloud because she cannot use it because her operating system is so old.

How can she transfer her contacts and photos to her new 6P?

If she has a Gmail account, I believe (not 100% sure though) she should be able to do it through that. I have never switched between IOS and Android. But I do run a Mac for my computer, and my contact information on there was synced through my Gmail.

iTunes and from there to Gmail for contacts and photos ideally to photos.google.com through Google photo uploader.

I thought I read something on AC awhile back about an app available for the iPhone that allowed you to do just that. You might have her search the Apple Store.

Here is a handy guide for coming from iOS to Android

And there is a guide in that article that contains apps/methods to move it all over employing the use of Gmail and iTunes if you don't have iCloud
