Here is more proof about the Thunderbolt. No Release on the 24th!

Well if its in your store than it would show in your system right? Take a screen shot of that, that would show the quantity you have on hand and not to be rude, but McDonald's pays about what best but does so I don't think I would be to concerned about losing your job!!

Wow...so this thread went downhill fast, from another speculated rumor to a flamefest. Now im convinced you're just trolling. Titans never did anything to insult you or say you were lying, but you kept taking it that way.

Sit back, relax, and take it all in like the rest of us, but dont come here and start insulting people's jobs...

You don't think IT and logistics go hand in hand? It works the exact same way when we get hardware or even software for that matter, so go ask DADDY about it since he is your reference that you are using! Dame 15 year old now it all.

I'm 25 actually. And you don't know anything about actual logistics with large companies like VZW or HTC. We're talking supply-chain and warehouse management. Not some namby-pamby fed-ex orders.

Lmao your right. And i just checked out the buyers guide online(the one you thought you had exclusively) I see a SKU on it. So i will try and check into it tomorrow. If i can get a pic cool, if not. Oh well. Like i said, im not claiming to be a source so im not about to go above and beyond. And thanks for that insult. For someone your age, i see maturity is not your strong suit. Me only being a 19yr old college student, i think this job is pretty nice. But by all means look down on me.

I work for a company bigger than both of them!! By far, so yes I know how logistics work, even with company's bigger than the ones you mentioned.

How have we not realized that store representatives, customer service representatives and every other god damn person that isn't the person that set the launch date doesn't know anything about it?

Can we go back to the Blackberry days and start remember when CSR's would say this OS is coming out this day or this phone is coming out this day and it being completely and utterly false?

Its going to come out when it comes out no sooner and no later so be it the 24th, the 28th or five years from now that is when its going to come out like it or not!

What do you mean they couldn't do a 100,000 phones?? They have done it with the iphone and the ipad. Twice now with the phone. Verizon sold a million iphones on preorders and over 500,000 shipped from china to the states in two days!! What the hell are you talking about? Like I said, if you have the phones IN STOCK like you say then it should be no problem taking a picture of one!! Now should it?

I don't really have a side in all of this, but it should be noted that the CDMA iPhone had been in production for about 4 months prior to launch. There were truckloads upon truckloads of them waiting to be shipped for weeks, so I don't believe that situation is really analogous to a last-minute factory recall.

Still, if there was a software update needed (which I don't doubt a bit), I'm quite sure they would do it OTA. The cost of actually calling devices back is too high.

Exactly, lets use some business logic here:
Recall every single shipped phone ready to be sold in the US for thousands upon thousands of dollars just for a software update or have the OTA ready to go before launch day so when people boot their phone for the first time it REQUIRES you to update it?

Thousands of dollars or free... Seems obvious.

Those ads and flyers you have. Went out to plenty of people today. Lots of cities send out newspapers on saturday. You don't have any exclusive detail. Phils believes the 24th and im gonna go with that. If it's not, so be it. My deal is you coming on here calling people out because you believe you have the holy grail of inside info in a pamphlet.

Why can't Best Buy sell them today if they're in stock?

Cop out. What did the OP say?

Standard "I have a magical Best Buy representative that told me things that I just know are true above all other Best Buy representatives. It's not coming out on the 24th because of *blah*"

Nothing to lose sleep over.

Yeah, just finished reading the whole thread. What a jerk. I probably make less money than the Best Buy kid on here and I'm 32. So what? That doesn't raise or lower someone credibility. Or worth.

What the CEO of HTC didn't tweet was that they had to recall every phone that was shipped.

Why on earth would I make this up or how in the hell would I get a flyer if what I am saying is not true?

With all of the tech blogs following this story so closely, I'd have to believe that ONE of them would've ran a story on it if HTC had to recall their phones. The release on the 28th stories have been speculating either a software problem or they want to have enough units so they don't sell out (like with the Incredible). If it is a software issue, there is no need to recall the phones. Any issue could be fixed with an OTA update which could be done at time of activation or after.

If they recalled them for software they would have to pull every phone from every box, remove the plastic from each piece (phone, battery) power it on, do the update, repackage the pieces to look like new, and then reship them. They wouldn't go through all of that when they could do it OTA.

The only time I've ever heard of a phone recall is for hardware issues that can only be fixed by either the manufacturer or the carrier selling that phone. There's a reason manufacturers don't do recalls unless they have to, money. Companies this size are all about their bottom line, a recall is a last resort.

As far as why you would make this up, I don't know. Maybe you just take their word at face value. You ask why would you lie. The better question is what reason would they have to lie about this. They have an angry customer wanting to know where the phone they preordered is. They know they are going to have a lot of this until the phone is released. So they lie to get you out the door. I have had VZW & BB lie to me before, it happens. You saw an email explaining their story. How does an email trump screenshots or POs. It doesn't, they could all be faked. You choose to believe it, that's fine. But it is not any more believable than anything else we have seen so far. There's no reason to get this heated over speculation. It'll be here soon, deal with it.

P.S. I'm not saying that any of the screenshots or POs are fake, I'm only saying they can be faked. I value the info we have gotten from our insiders. Just saying if somebody wanted to they could do it.

I just reviewed the original post. I shall summarize.

He shared (in great detail) an experience he had at a BB store, where a BB manager and a Verizon Regional Manager told him the TB would not be available until the 28th. He was quickly burned at the stake. The thread got out of hand and eventually led to infractions being handed out to several people that should know better.

When I go to vzw.com the first thing that pops up on their homepage is an ad about the iPhone being the phone that changed everything. They should come check out this forum sometime.

Thread closed.
