OK got it to work! Finally! You MUST remove HTC Sync from your computer or it will block it from flashing the custom recovery.

Had the same problem. Changed connect to PC setting to "charge only" and it worked like a charm.

When you say "already rooted" will the revoked method work?

You have to have root access to the file system first. There are several threads on how to do this.

it took me less time to root the phone than to get this "easy" tool flashed on. hang in there remarsh2003. just keep at it. thing was tickin me off til about 2 minutes ago. now it works great. if i had this much trouble with this tools help i probably would not have been able to do this at all. thanks Unrevoked!

HTC Sync does not mix well with the reflash tool. Aslong as you have the drivers installed the i listed in the other thread then you will be fine. BE SURE TO REMOVE SYNC! This tool works like a charm if you do it correctly, they could not have made this any more easy for people. I love not having sense ui anymore and having just regular vanilla android
