Hero Lagging... Any suggestions?

I have'nt rooted yet either and won't unless I have to.So far the lag has improved on it's own apparently,it's like 1-2 seconds now compared to 5 sec's when I got it a mo. ago..The things I do to keep it running smooth are I keep the history's clear(delete every 3-4 days),same with the browser cashe and instead of using a task killer I use the back button when done or going to another site or app..Mine came with the 2.1 and has the latest 2.27.651.6 update installed.I works well for me.
