Well I've been trying to figure out how to use the camera for sites that use webcams. Specifically for Shovio.com. I can't stand Chatroulette. It's a sausage fest... literally... My friend has an online show on Shovio.com You can "shov in" aka webcam in and talk about whatever topic is being discussed. Now that I can watch it on my phone when I'm not home, I'd love to be able to "shov in" on the fly too.. So after some brainstorming and talking to Vaelek.. he gave me a really good idea.. And it worked...

The suspense is killing me.

Download Wireless Webcam app... Then download Desktop Client

Set both of the applications up..
Basically what you do is you start the feed on the webcam app, then open the desktop client app.. Go to your internet browser (in the desktop client app), go to chatroulette, choose the MJPEG for video and.... have fun..

Yes technically it's cheating. And even a little much to do just for that, but once you have the desktop client all set up and the ip set up it's easy as hell to use after that. The developer of the IP Webcam just hit me back up and said he's working on front camera support... I can make a video of it if anyone needs a visual

The IP Webcam application basically uses the camera on the phone as a webcam, but it's done through an ip address.. So when you go on your computer, it automatically recognizes it. Like on chatroullete, where you pic the camera, it's gonna say MJPEG. That's the phones camera... SOooo..

It's really not. Trust me. The hardest part is setting both the applications up. But once that's done, it's really easy. I'm gonna make a video of it soon.

I would like to be a Romaholic, but I haven't quite got the hang of things yet. I've flashed one rom since I've been rooted which is the baked snack which seems to be running great. I wanted to try other roms but everytime I try to flash a new rom I have to keep reinstalling apps, setting up screens, and changing settings I call myself backing up everything but apparently I must not be doing this work. It couldn't possibly be all this work involved to change roms?

You could try out titanium (igae4g disclaimer: its easier) buuuut some ppl who's names I won't mention (stay tuned for flamage) hate it and say it messes up or can cause probs so yur alternative for apps and stuff could be app brain

BTW I dl baked snack 1.8 last night but have been lazy O

I really like Baked Snack but considering this is my first custom rom I haven;t much to compare it too. And I did use App Brain to restore apps, but I had to install one by one, is there a install all options I may have missed?

Titanium does it all at once...


Reason I dont like it...

Switching between roms as much as I do Settings saved on Titanium transfer between roms

at times this can cause weird issues

BTW Titanium Backup pro is needed for restoring all at once...
