Sooooo happy with my upgrade from my S9+ to the Note 9 :) Is there anything this phone can't do? I've been a big fan of the S-Pen since buying the Galaxy Note 2014 tablet.
Just one small aggravation is a constant notification concerning High Performance Mode. I can't permanently remove it from notifications. I can swipe it to the right but it will come back when I restart my phone. There isn't a Performance Mode option in Notification settings or the Advanced Notification settings. How do I keep HPM but not have it living in the notification shade?
Thanks!

Yeah, I don't think there's a way to not have it show when you turn the device on. It was there on my note 8 as well.

I guess it's a way to remind the user re which mode they may want for whatever task they have in mind. (shrug) dunno

If you don't need the extra increase in brightness then just bump up the resolution and you won't have to use HPM. Also by not having the screen brightness so high you'll have less chance of screen burn in. Mine is set to Optimize with WQHD+ enabled.

Or the best you can do if you really want to use HPM is to make it a minimized notification when ever it pops back up. To do this long press on the HPM notification then click on details, Performance Mode, Importance then change it to Low. This will get rid of it from being on the main notification up top but will still show up when you pull down the notification tray. You can still swipe it away.

I have a similar issue with the Galaxy Watch. There is a persistent notification showing that it is connected, that can be swiped away, but it reappears whenever the watch reconnects. There is an app I started using recently that can block these notifications. It is called AutoNotification by joaomgcd. I hate having to install an app to fix a problem like this, but the app works well.

Thanks for all the replies. I want my screen on the highest resolution and I bump up the brightness to just this side of the red warning line. I'm not one of those to dumb down my smartphone for the sake of the battery LOL
I'm not sure what I did but the Performance Mode Notification is gone even after a reboot. I still have the screen setting on the highest so I don't know what isn't premium any longer. I could never find a setting for the Perfmormance mode that did anything.
