ART currently support only Qualcomm devices, so not available for Tegra and Exynos devices. Recommendation is to buy the 2013 edition.Just played around with a friend's n7 (2012) and he is noticing there are instances of lag worth the new update, I recommended switching to ART caching but it wasn't available.... Any recommendations?

Biggest change I noticed with ART enabled is that it makes apps 20% larger, I used it for a couple of days then switched back.

No ART in Nexus tablets, tried with my N7(2012).
There are roms that integrated that patch like 'Pure Speed X'. Samsung using similar optimization to help them cheat on benchmarks, you will see your Dalvik score goes higher with Antutu benchmarks (I don't recommend relying on Antutu benchmarks, especially for KitKat and ART yet), but you won't notice as much for real life usage, but it doesn't hurt to flash it. For me it's base on how smooth the interface is, how fast apps load, the overall stability of the OS and the battery life, KitKat with ART does it for me.Anyone here flash the motox Qualcomm thing? Seems pretty fast to me. Hard to tell a difference between that+dalvik and art.

There's likely subtle differences that are not noticeable to the eye, but are noticeable on the various testing mechanisms for such runtimes. Regarding ART, people are reporting improvements. However, there has already been a lot of talk on the issue and most (if not all) conclusions are that ART provides for no improvements over Dalvik and is included to allow developers, OEMs, etc. the opportunity to start enhancing there hardware with the new runtime.I just started up a thread about seeing performance differences between Dalvik and ART. I have seen absolutely no difference in performance between 4.3 Dalvik, 4.4 Dalvik, and 4.4 ART.

I believe you're right. Apps load faster, but that's about it. No difference in battery life, system speed or really anything else. Downside is that it increases the size of apps considerably.
I got far better battery life with ART.

I already get really good battery life... especially with the 4.4 update. Actually.... I don't believe I could get any better. The thing I don't like about ART is that it adds to the size of apps considerably. I'm still using ART for now.
I got 20 mins extra on screen with ART, which is significant. Only reason I'm not using ART at the moment is because ART doesn't work wither with a rooted phone or a phone with a custom kernel.

ART work fine with rooted phone or custom kernel. Don't know what you're talking about. I can prove it.I got 20 mins extra on screen with ART, which is significant. Only reason I'm not using ART at the moment is because ART doesn't work wither with a rooted phone or a phone with a custom kernel.
