Does anyone remember seeing last years turbo on sale during the holiday season? I assume it will be too close from the release and I might as well buy it now. It's time to turn my MAXX into a backup phone.

Might not make it into sales but they will definitely have some good deals like reduced down payments on contract or additional goodies.

Yeah that is what I was thinking... I'm a pay for it up front kind of guy since I'm clinging to unlimited data

I would guess they would offer something, but since Verizon isn't really doing contracts anymore (from what I understand they're letting people renew existing contracts, but they're not doing new ones), that's one less way they would do a promo. Time will tell.

My Turbo 1 was on sale right after Thanksgiving for $129. That's the 64gb Ballistic Nylon version.
I'd imagine they'd do something similar this year.

I paid retail for my Droid Maxx (2013) 32GB on December 26, 2013. Price was $450, on sale $50 off for the holidays.
That phone launched July 2013 though, so it had been out 6 mos by the time XMAS rolled around; the turbo 2 will only be 2 mos old.


I, too, have UDP and am considering this phone, as my Maxx's battery has deteriorated to the point where it doesn't get me anywhere near a day of use (about 10 hours, tops)
