Had the S6 edge and the S7 edge. Neither lasted long due to poor battery life and lag. Almost gave up on Samsung but took a flyer on the S8+.
Agree with OP entirely - WOW! Zero lag, great battery life, buttery smooth. Definitely a few niggles that they could fix (more responsive fingerprint scanner, more reliable Iris detection, kill that annoying Bixby button that I hit 20 times a day accidentally!) but all in all, VERY happy with this phone!
