So.. I took a dremmel and a file to a business card holder while I was busy at work and attempted to make a makeshift docking station out of my new found glory....My S3 and now that im finished I cant make the phone go into a docking mode. If the light turns out and clocks not showing I mind as well plug it up and throw it in a drawer or under my desk. Any options on how to turn this thing around so it wants to act like a dock?

lol try Digital Clock app by Notes
thought id post my docking station ;)

its a double-sided sucker-pad about 4" square from the pound shop (dollar store) and an bit of elasticated string :)
works great ;)

global s3, UK. Ask me anything and ill reply even if its just an intelligent (or stupid) guess ;)

Actual docks automatically queue dock mode lol, I'm not sure if you can force the state or not. Take the above suggestion and find a landscape digital clock app you can launch.

Dock mode is initiated by the resistance on pin 5 of the usb connector... so without ripping the cable apart you are not going to win this one.

For more info look up the usb otg specs

Found it. Click the clock app. Scroll left to bring the right side into view. You should see a 5th option called desk clock. That's it
