Here's how I have Nova Launcher Prime set up: Single press home button-> Go to home screen, double press home button-> launch Google search (same as pressing the magnifying glass on older Android phones), long press menu button-> launch Google Voice Search, double tap home screen-> launch S-Voice, swipe up on home screen-> launch app drawer, swipe down on home screen-> expand notification bar.

What wallpaper is that? That American flag is awesome...

Late to the party, but here's mine. Background is my desk. I have loads of folders because that is how I work.

On my old AMOLED DROID Incredible I ran stock, un-rooted Sense for a year. Then I rooted and began running CM7. After only a few days I installed Launcher Plus because I didn't much care for its included version of ADW. On my LG Spectrum I tried ADW EX and GO because the Optimus UX sucks. I ended up back on LP. As soon as I discovered how inflexible TouchWiz is on the SGSIII, I tried Apex, Nova, ADW EX, GO Launcher, and LP. Right now I've settled on Nova.

But through all of this I've realized that most launchers simply provide the user a means to display matrices of icons and/or folders of icons, in addition to providing a grid with which to align widgets. I've been using basically the same system the entire time I've owned a smartphone. Add to that the GUI of Windows and I'm starting to get tired of the whole icon matrix paradigm.

I'm not ready to go with a Metro-style tile interface quite yet, so I started looking at SPB Shell and TSF Shell. They seem like they could perhaps provide a middle ground between the two UI paradigms.

While I still had the LG Spectrum I emailed SPB asking if, before purchasing their expensive ($14.95) product, they would provide me a longer than 15 minute return window. They replied saying that in the event I wanted a later refund that I should reference the case number they provided. I don't remember why, but I never took them up on their offer.

One of the friends I made over in the Spectrum forum is an admitted launcher whore. He owns something like six or seven launchers and prefers TSF Shell over SPB Shell. This got me to recently email the TSF developer asking if they'd allow me to have a longer than 15 minute return window before fully committing to their even more expensive ($16.80) launcher.

I figured after two weeks of no response that they'd just disregarded my request. You can imagine my surprise this morning when I received an email from the developer. They gave me an .apk of their TSF Shell! Granted, the next version is imminent, but still... :)

I will definitely be installing this and giving it a full shakedown. I'll also post a few screen captures here. And If it's a good enough product, I'll purchase it.

That's the kind of confidence in their product I can get behind!
