true black on a LED screen like the s3 uses no power. its just like the screen being off so yeah it saves a lot of power since screen is the biggest battery drain but obv it depends how long u spend on homescreen so u cant realy give a %

Brilliant. Why has no one ever mentioned this before?

My background is blue I hope that's better then the white tiger I used to have. I guess I'll try to find me a good black background so that I save some battery. Thanks funk
