It should work. I currently use a go sms widget on apex so I'm sure any other go widget would also work

Funkylogik got it. It came with GoLauncher.

I'd like to find a similar widget that I can make transparent.

Also, how do you create transparent (invisible) hot spots on one's wallpaper?

nah mate dont think so. Go widgets are in a separate menu from normal widgets and Nova doesnt seem to give you that option

Go icon packs work though thats what im using for my dock icons

try downloading the "transparency" Go Theme and apply that to the widget mate

You should try Glaskart theme icons. They got awesome transparent icons (which I'm also using).

Check out Pure calendar widget in Playstore. Lots of customization, even a transparent background.

dont know if that makes sense lol
im goin for a silvery look if i can pull it off.. my phone has a dark "black carbon" bezel so silver looks hot
