I am having random reboot issues with honeybun 420. I thought it might be because I didn't wipe but after wiping and re-flashing I am still having the issue. I thought it could be an app or widget conflict so I uninstalled most of my apps, except those already on the Rom, but that didn't seem to work. The only thing I can think now is that I have a corrupted version of 420. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate before I wipe again and re-download a fresh copy of 420. I have had this before with honey lite .2 but was fixed when I went to regular version.3.

I am not oc.

I would dowload again so you know you got a good copy and wipe then install.

Figured that, just thought I would ask, trying now. If I remember right, when I get that error when wiping dalvik on the phone that is just a bug right? I just do it twice and carry on. How can I check to make sure it has been wiped using adb? (mainly for future reference, I am already past that now, booting back up now)

Once again thanks Beezy

Well I downloaded a fresh version of honey and tried again, but still doing the random reboots. This time it started out fine and went about 10 hours without a problem. It pretty much waited until I got everything set back up and then started to freak out. It randomly rebooted, took a good 10 minutes to load back up, loaded without HTC widgets/sense, added some of its own widgets that I have never used before, so I cleared sense to re-load widgets and rebooted. Sense has finally decided to stay but the phone will just randomly reboot now, about 5-6 times today so far.

Not sure if I am doing something to screw it up, or maybe one of my apps/widgets is causing the conflicts. Any advice would be appreciated.

If I go to iced it may help but anyone have space issues just using the standard 2gb SD and not using apps2sd? Not sure I would have enough room.

I've used the Iced with out much issue with memory, but then I don't have a lot of apps loading on my phone. I ran with the 2gb SD and it also worked fine, but when I added more music, I started to see some slow down. I bought an 8 gb class 6 SD and now I have room to grow my music collection and the phone runs faster again.

Hey beezy, i'm still rockin IcedHoneyBun and was wondering if you will ever release a version that will allow you run programs off the SD just like in Froyo. That is the only function I really want and i'm wondering if its possible to add in 2.1

that functionality is there and built-in using a2sd from tkirton of xda. Some of the program is installed onto the sdcard, but a small portion does reside in the internal memory.

Everything seems to have gone well on my first attempt at using a rom.

One thing that's fairly minor. If I set a Live Wallpaper, it will run fine until the phone sleeps. Then, when I turn the screen back on, my regular wallpaper is back. I'd like the live wallpaper to stay. I charge frequently during the day so a battery hit doesn't really concern me.

Anybody got any ideas?

edit: (Running v420 with the suggested kernal for OCwidget to run)

Thanks.

Thanks.

Probably force closing while asleep.

Some live wallpapers do that on my Hero, some don't. Which one is doing that for you?

I was using the Nexus Mod wallpaper.

Thanks for the response. My initial guess was it was shutting down during sleep either due to a force close or the memory management shutting down or the cpu powering down a bit.

Breezy, I noticed that in Froyo the problem of MMS not sending or downloading while connected to WiFi is fixed. Have you seen any fixes for this on a 2.1 Sense ROM (yours in particular)?

In Froyo you can see the 3G connection turn on, download the message, then turn off.

I'm a newbie to rooting & ROMs and I installed this as my 2nd ROM, fantastic job, it feels like 100% stock.

The only issue I've found so far is Facebook, the HTC Sense for facebook is not available in the Widgets. If I do Settings>applications>manage applications>htc sense>clear data, should this fix the issue? Do I have to reboot if I do this?

Thanks again, rooting and ROMs is awesome!

It should. And no you don't have to re-boot, but it will reset all your "customization" of the scenes and erase any scenes you might have saved.

so how long should it take for everything to load

i flashed the rom and rebooted

im now at the home screen and its at the point where it says loading

been this way for 7-8 minutes...

eta: good to go now!

I'm glad you succeeded. It took me about 1 hr for Icedhoneybun last night, but after pressing MENU that's when it stopped 'Loading' and went to normal. I wonder if pressing MENU after 1/2 hr or 45 mins would make it work...

sorry to be annoying, but it's been a month (or two) since i've been on here, and 53 pages is a LOT. Have there been any new updates to the rom?

I've been having bad battery issues, and need to re-partition my drive to make more room, so I thought i would just do it all at once and flash a new rom while i'm at it.

hey is anyone else getting a settings pop up box when they launch there browser in v420, about every other time I open up the browser it pops up for a second then goes away.

i get the "need to connect to the network" box flashing for sec, i dont even notice it anymore..

i installed iced honeybun420 and now when i go to market and try to download apps, it just says starting download. I have tried all sorts of stupid tricks, wifi on/off, 3g on/off, gtalk on/off and wiping and reflashing and trying again...nothing. The onlything that works is when i restore via nandroid...but i would like to try this rom. Thanks in advance

What Rom were you running before and did you wipe your SD card prior to flashing? There have been a lot of people reporting this same issue after using CM6 and then switching to a different Rom I would backup your files you need like music, photos, save game data, nandroid backups etc off your SD card to your computer and then let your computer format the SD card. After doing that I would transfer the update.zip back onto the SD card and nothing else reboot into recovery and reinstall once your back up and running you can transfer your other files back and you should be good to go.
