Hopping off the G3 Bandwagon

When I got my G3 back in April, it looked promising and like it could be a great phone. However, it has been nothing but trouble. I am now on my 3rd G3 in 8 months due to technical and software issues, and have had to do 2 master resets since the end of October. Even LG's Bridge software (for USB/Wifi backup) says the G3 isn't supported. I don't do anything fancy with my phone - no rooting, no gaming, etc.. For whatever reason, I just keep having bad luck with it. Thankfully AT&T is letting me switch models under warranty due to the amount of issues I've been having. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active - here I come... I wish you all better luck with your LG G3's than I had with mine.

Sorry you had a bad run of phones. I think rooting may have solved a majority of your software issues though.

Rooted day one a year and a half ago and not missed a beat. Just put a 6000mah battery in it last month and an easy 7hrs screen on time with 30%left at recharge. Nothing out there really drastically better.

I would love to root my G3. Every software update brings more issues.

But WiFi calling is a must.

Rooted day one a year and a half ago and not missed a beat. Just put a 6000mah battery in it last month and an easy 7hrs screen on time with 30%left at recharge. Nothing out there really drastically better.

7 hours? You should get 10 with that battery!

Just left too. The note 5 suckered me in. I had multiple freeze ups per day when doing the simplest things or sometimes nothing at all. Others have had better luck. Loved my G2 though.

I have tmo as well.

My two biggest issues are lag and WiFi calling.

The lag just sucks and makes it frustrating to operate at times.

The WiFi issue is a tmo problem. . They turn the WiFi radio off when the screen shuts off.

I really wanted to like the G3, but just a bad run of luck - but 3 phones (and 2 master resets) in 8 months (with both resets coming since the end of October) was too much.... Hope y'all have better luck with yours!

I also had the G2 which sucked too. I now have the G3 and replaced it 20 times for a refurbished one

I wish something would go wrong with my G3 so I could justify getting a new phone. But that old G3 just keeps plugging along with no issues.

Same here... My G3 was built on April 2015... Wondering if the most recent ones are free of issues like our G3s.
