Hey guys, I noticed that I have horizontal lines across all the display then it's off. They are barely noticeble. What kind of problem is it? Is it faulty unit? Thanks.

There's been debate to this my opinion is its just LCD screens I think its normal but I'm not seeing exactly what your seeing I and my girl both have these on ours but there only noticeable when screens off,at right angle and in sun, would never affect use

Unfortunately, I can see it in sun then display is on. It seems like a lot of people have this? I don't know what to do, I took my HTC One yesterday and for sure there is options to take my money back or exchange it but maybe all of them like that.

I'm not seeing any lines with screen off or on...Maybe getting older is a good thing after all...lol

Yeah, can't see them in the dark or inside of house. It shows off in the bright sun or something like that. I read some topics about that and it's like everybody have it. Maybe some phones don't. But if i'll try to swap it I can't be sure I would get this "normal" phone because everybody complaining about this.

By the way, it's not mine phone. I don't have them this visible only in the sun with a specific angle.

I have the same thing, but I don't know anything about phones and its not visible under normal circumstances. Only visible at angles I don't give a **** about so it does not bother me. I'm sure there is some high tech reasoning for it that I am too stupid to understand.

I've got it on my screen on my DNA. I always assumed it was like, solar sensing or something, because mine are horizontal and vertical, like a grid. I saw the same thing on my sidekick 4g. Only visible with screen off in direct light.

That would be the digitizer. No it's not defective.

See I have no clue...... Digitizer sounds like something out of star trek to me..... Ooh star trek 2 was a good movie too. Anyone see it besides me? Stupid question right, of course you all saw it all.

Hi,

I have the same problem with my HTC One bought a few days ago. When there is a black background on the screen and there is sun, so I'm not quite opposite, I see this grid.

Does everyone sees or is it a manufacturing defect?

i got my 4th phone replace. i guess each of them has this lines issue. company says its a defect..i am not sure..why am i getting defective ones. i saw couple of my friends devices as well. they too have those faint lines.

what to do
