Hot spot with UDP

I need to know if I can use my Moto x 2014 that has unlimited data as a hotspot. We are moving and will be without Internet several days. Other two in house have limited data. I read somewhere that I can just pay for the days I use it. I have no idea how to do it and appreciate any advice.

If you're on Verizon you can just activate it from the my Verizon app. Turn it off when you're done and Verizon will pro rate the service (about $1 a day). Easy. Just make sure you're not messing with your plan; just the hotspot feature. Not so sure about other carriers tho.

Thanks! Yes, I am with Verizon. I just don't want to do anything that could mess with my UDP. Which is why I am willing to pay for the few days.
