How are the AOSP roms for the Sprint S4?

I'm thinking of rooting and installing a rom on my black s4. I want somerhing stable, and I don't want to have to upgrade for a while so something on 4.4

Should in use carbon?

There are a lot of stable 4.3 ROMs and a few 4.4 ones.
What firmware are you on? If you're on 4.3, you're out of luck for now :-\

Yeah, you're out of luck for now
No custom recoveries on 4.3 yet, so that means no custom ROMs
Edit: SafeStrap works on some phones

Really? Hadn't heard of it, I know SafeStrap does, but only on some phones and with limited ROMs
