How are you backing up...

Might be a dumb question but i've been away for a few months and recently got my Nexus. When you would flash a rom on any android phone that had an SD card you wouldn't lose you pics, music and everything else after a wipe before installing a new rom. What is being down now that their is no SD card? Are you just keeping all your pics backup on the computer and transferring all back into the Nexus after the rom?

Flashing roms will not erase the sd card partition of the memory so you don't have to worry about it.

"Lookout" Antivirus program on the Android store seems to have a "backup" haven't messed with it though.

I guess it backsup your data to their website. I do have it installed though and it seems to work great for what they advertise it for--using the free version.

I use mybackup pro. Like others said putting a Rome on will not wipe the sd card and that is where my backups are. I am paranoid about putting a backup of my phones data on someone elses server

Hmmmmm, that was weird. I asked this question because some how all my pictures got deleted after wiping and installing my first rom. Now I just tried it again and it didn't delete my pictures... Oh well, thanks everyone, I guess this thread is now pointless.

I'm not aware of any ROM that would delete your pictures (or anything you see in file explorer when you plug into a pc). The only time you loose EVERYTHING is when you unlock the phone, which you only do once.

Correct. It probably happened when you unlocked it.

Yeah possibly and I just didn't notice. I was away for a few months on training so i've been a little rusty on all this. But I'm good now, I'm getting back on it haha.

Yeah I lost all my pics too when I unlocked my phone for the first time.
