How are you finding Oreo?

For those of you guys who are on Verizon you can utilize the Verizon text messaging app which will allow you to customize the tones per contact

Was in the Beta with my S8, though I now have a non-oreo unlocked S8 Plus.
On the final beta build, the phone ran silky smooth and yes, peppier all around. Most of the changes were "under the hood".
2 small things I look forward to getting back when my Plus updates are the ability to unlock from AOD with OK Google and the ability to theme lock screen clock. Little things but nice.

I have yet to figure out how to get OK Google to work when AOD screen is on????
Are there other settings we need to change other than this?

My Nova Prime seems to be a little wonky. I have no unread emails but the badge shows that there are unread ones.

I'm using Nova and Tesla and all badges are working with 5.1.0 apk for Tesla. I can swipe away notifications and the unread number still persists.

Well this might be solution but the Tesla version on Google play store do not work.

Battery life, especially standby battery life, is definitely worse!

Those are the settings I had enabled. Keep in mind I am speaking about having this option when my S8 was on the beta build.
I now have an S8 Plus without Oreo so don't know if the final Oreo changed this capability.

Emailed the app developer for Tesla Unread about the unread badge number remaining when there are no unread ones for the Samsung email and Gmail apps. Waiting for a reply.

It works if I hit the power button once to get to the lock screen, but that defeats the purpose of it

I dont like the Oreo update for one reason... it took away being able to assign separate notification tones for everyone. I loved that feature. And now I'm angry its gone

When you hit the recent button, the top of recently used apps has an aquamarine color. Can this be changed?

Well... Sooooo, Oreo is the update that was forced on my phone a couple days ago?.... And now it sucks.
No custom text tone for SMS... That would be enough to make me not get this phone. Glad I spent all that time assigning those do they could be wiped out without my permission.

'Status' app that I use is giving me issues.
Random apps randomly shutting down or locking up.
If it was possible I'd go back in a heartbeat.
I hope they fix this soon. I hate my S8 for the first time.

Yes, someone should literally be killed for this.
What IDI0T would remove a feature like this? Makes zero sense.
Now I'm going to have to use a third party SMS app.

Give me the appropriate email address and I will send them a very colorful one.
Any yes, we are complaining about simple things... because its all the simple things that make a phone great. Why REMOVE features that people like.
