Cant change passcode

So I had somehow locked myself out of my phone. I KNOW I was entering the correct code, but it kept on saying incorrect passcode at the lock screen. After much struggle, I was able to lock the phone using Samsung's findmymobile, then unlock my phone with that code.

NOW HERE IS MY ISSUE.

There are many success stories about using this service from Samsung. Again, I now have access to my phone. I have turned the screen timeout to 10 minutes and as of now am just not locking the phone. If I do accidentally lock it I just go back on findmymobile and repeat the process.

The problem is that I cannot change my phone to NONE for lock screen. I cant change the lock screen setting at all! Because every time I tap "Screen lock type" it asks for me to confirm passcode. Nothing Ive tried will get me passed this step. Device is an unrooted S6 active.

PLEASE HELP ASAP. Thank you in advance for any help
