How can I fix an LG G3 update error?

Lg G3 update error!

Okay so earlier this month sprint released a update for the lg g3 and the update finally got pushed to my device. I was kinda excited even though people were saying bad stuff about the update affecting battery life, but I didn't really care because I have extra batteries so I wouldn't mind,but when I tap the notification and start installing the update. But about half way throught installing it, it says error! And the only way to get my phone to turn off was to take out the battery. And i thought it was onay and I couod just reinstall it again brcausw it failed this time. So i go to setting then system update and check for update but it just says "authentication error" and i cant do anything about it. And just today i got the same notification again and was thinking "oh cool i can try to install it again" but it fails again! Is there any other way to fix this issue?? It's really bugging me and i need a solution. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Welcome to the G3 forum.

Have you tried both wifi and mobile data for the download?

Yes i have tried both. I actually received the update again today,and it failed once more. Sorry about the picture quality on the 2nd photo. I only had a 0.2 mp camera with me. I have also tried updating with lg bridge and other lg software,but the programs never detect my phone is connected but my PC does.I even went as far as to factory reset my phone and try to update,but that didn't work either,so I just restored from a backup. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

You can download the latest fitmware (KDZ file) and use LG Flash Tool to push it to your device.

Make sure you have the latest LG drivers installed on your PC.
Download LG Flash Tool .
Download Latest Stock Rom.

1) Extract LG Flash Tool to your desktop.
2) Power off device.
3) Plug device into PC via usb cable.
4) If the drivers start to update, let them finish.
5) Hold Vol Up to boot into download mode.
6) Open up the flash tool and set "select type" to CDMA.
7) Set PhoneMode to "DIAG"
8) Pick the KDZ file you downloaded moments ago. (Stock Rom)
9) Click CSE FLASH and then START.

The stock rom you listed for the LS990 lg g3 isn't the latest update. There was an update for it last month. I first received it last week.

Honestly I copied and pasted that from a reply I gave to a g4 user. I just changed the link to the G3 folder.

Enable any and all preloaded bloatware you have previously disabled then try to do the update. I'm assuming you are stock and not rooted correct?

Let me do some digging.

In the mean time, try clearing system cache then taking the update. If you aren't against doing a full wipe I'd either FDR or flash latest firmware in that link and then try to take the update.

Okay so I ended up using the lg flash tool to flash the stock rom and it failed the first few times. So,just like any other human being,I threw my laptop because i was pissed. I then waited a few days and tried it again. This time I used "board" instead of "upgrade". And it worked. Thank you so much whoever suggested that
