Android Central Question

Phone never got wet but can not charge using ac connection. Phone chimes and says to disconnect charger because of moisture detected.

What phone is this? If it's Samsung, this seems to be a somewhat known issue for them. What fixed it on my wife's S7 Edge was to go into the application manager and there's a USB settings app in the list (may need to select to view system apps). I went in it to clear the app data, then restated the phone and it's been fine since.

If you do a search about this issue on the forums, you'll find a few different threads about it.

I had that but found it was on a certain 2 chargers I was using( I have many). I switched charger and no mor notice.

same problem here. mine was random at 1st. unplug/replug would fix it. Then it would randomly pop up the same error while sitting on my desk @ work. now, won't charge unless i use wireless.

i was told by Samsung to take my s9+ to a local contracted repair shop (ubrakeifix or something like that). i called 1st because they are an hour away from me. guy @ the store siad that he had seen the same issue many, many times and they haven't been able to fix even one of them. he told me to call Samsung back and tell them that.

I phoned Sammy back again. got an upgraded overnight return label from them, but was told that it would still take right around a week. Eff Me!! I might buy another new unlocked s9+ to use in the interim and return it (no restocking fee) when my phone is fixed or replaced.
