My S5 Active is full.

I can't download anything. It's full. I have an SD card in there, but I don't like moving all my stuff over there. If I move apps over there, then they can't run from there. So I only feel that its good for storing photos. Why have a purchased this expensive phone and it's full already. I've only had it a few months. Any suggestions?

Can you show a screen shot of the storage stats, please?

Re: My S5 Active is full.

Ugh...the miscellaneous files are kind of what is killing the memory. The downside is, there are usually core apps in there. I am not sure if an unrooted user can delete anything from there. And even if one can, there may be serious repercussions if they are deleted.

Have you gone through any apps you no longer need?

Can you tap on the miscellaneous files and see what's in there? Not sure in the Galaxy but it can be done in other phones. If you can post an screenshot.

I looked in the misc files and it's a lot lot of stuff in there. Very many jpg. If I did a screen shot, there may be 30 or more shots to cover them all.

JPG files are easy to move around. Save them to an SD card or to some cloud storage. That will give you some space back. See in that list if there are some big files. Some apps can accumulate huge quantity of data.
