How can I fully delete a theme from my Note 5

I download a theme to my Note 5 but didn't like it and when I changed it, everything changed to the new theme except the text message screen. It still remains the old theme. I deleted the old theme and yet, my text screen still remains the old theme. The main reason I deleted the old theme was I couldn't read my messages because of the color scheme. Please help!!

Did you try a reboot?

Have you tried clearing the cache partition?

Are you on marshmallow, if so, was the theme applied prior to upgrading?

This can usually be fixed by applying the theme named "Default", deleting any themes that you are still seeing art assets from (or all themes to be safe), restarting your phone, and then re-downloading / re-applying the theme you actually want to use.

Also make sure you are using the default "Messaging" app so that it is skinned properly. Theme customizations can only be applied to Samsung apps.
