How can I get Android Pay to work?

Android Pay question

I have tried to use Android Pay but it just doesn't work for me. NFC is turned on btw. Could it be my case? Using a Samsung 6s Edge Plus. Thanks

How does it not work? Is the POS reader not picking up your phone? Are you getting an error in the AP app?

Nothing happens at all, yet they tell me the terminal is working. Could it be my case?

I've used all types of cases, from slim Ringke cases to huge Otterbox multilayer cases, and it never interfered with Android Pay working.

Your nfc signal is either blocked by the case or the nfc chip could have stopped working. The latter happens very rarely so the case is most likely.

Shops are supposed to have special POS terminals for this?

It's possible, I had to take the case off of my Nexus 7 in order for tap to pay to work when I used it for the Best Buy promo, it didn't work with it on.

if you are using a Samsung, why not use the Samsung Pay app?

This, SP accepted in way more places. I've got the S6 Edge+ and have both set up on my device but use SP 99% of the time.
