How can I get back into my S7 Edge?

Im locked out of my samsung s7 Edge

I have tried sending a temporary password to my phone through Adroid Device Manager but it only lets me send a pin number password and i have a pattern password. It shows that I have a pending password but it will not let me view it with making me put in my pattern password. Please help i really dont want to have to factory reset my phone. If i do have to am i going to lose all my phone numbers ?

If your contacts are stored or backed up in the cloud (such as if you use Google for your contacts or you use your Samsung account and they're backed up on there), they won't be lost if you have to factory reset your phone (you can download them from the cloud when setting your phone up again). If you have problems remembering your passcode/directions/patterns, think about using your fingerprint instead (you can set up multiple fingers - I use both my thumb and index finger).
