How can I get contacts from a Galaxy 4S with a bad LCD

I have replaced the LCD screen already in this Galaxy 4S and do not want to pay for the repair again it is too costly. I have another Galaxy 4S that I ported over the phone number. I want to get my contacts and photos that were not on my SD card to the new phone. At AT & T they said I needed to repair the LCD in order to get the contacts and pictures off the phone?

Welcome to Android Central! To access the pictures on the Internal Storage, you could try this method: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...de-accessing-locked-phone-cracked-screen.html.

Contacts will be much more difficult, if they're only stored locally. Contacts are stored in an SQLite database on the system directory, so it's not a discrete file or files you can easily copy to another phone. This is why it's much better to associate your contacts with Google Contacts, so that they automatically sync and remain available in the cloud.

It depends on your carrier! If you have Verizon or Sprint, log in the new phone with the phone number and your contacts will be replaced on the new phone! Not sure if ATT has this feature!

I think this will only work if you decided to use their carrier specific cloud backup services (like Verizon Cloud). That isn't automatic--you can opt not to use their service, in which case the contacts wouldn't be backed up.
