How can I keep screen lit during phone calls?

I'm very frustrated when making a phone call, as soon as the call is connected, the screen on my S9 goes black. This is a royal pain, because so many times after making a call, it goes into a series of automated options, requiring numbers to be enter to reach a certain person or answer a question. I don't recall this being an issue on my Galaxy 6. I HATE THIS! Anyone have a solution to keeping the screen lit? Thanks!

Try disabling proximity sensor in call or system settings.
If that option not available, try using third-party apps

1. Bad idea. Because that means if you press the phone to your cheek to talk, you'll end up pressing stuff.
2. Issue is related to proximity sensor. It should turn black only when something blocks the sensor like when you hold the phone to your head. Anything blocking the sensor, like an improperly placed screen protector, will cause the issue you described.
