How can i login my Samsung account without my 2step verification code

[Android Central Question]

It shows I should enter the code send to my other Galaxy device and I can't locate any code

I can't login and logout my Samsung account all because I can't access my 2 step verification

Welcome to Android Central! Where is the 2 step verification code being sent to? Is it a previous phone you no longer have access to?

I had this problem this morning when going through my phone to get rid of Samsung bloatware and logged out of my Samsung account. When I tried to log back into my Samsung account it sent a code to a different number to the one for my actual phone so I was stuck.

Then thought that maybe the phone number used was the original number for my phone before I ported my existing number across from my old phone. Took a bit of rooting around to find out what that number was (eventually found in the Contacts on my old phone from when I had been originally setting up my new phone).

Then had to log into my Samsung account on my laptop which sent a verification email to my Gmail account. That was in Korean so had to translate that to English to see the code to let me complete the account login. Then was able to change to phone number used in the settings to my actual number.

Back on the phone I then tried to log in again but got an email from Samsung saying it would take up to two weeks to verify that my change of number was valid. Don't know why it should take that long but will keep trying once a day to log in again ...

What a palaver!
