how can i look at my message logs on my s7

i can only look at the call logs but can not look at the message log like when i received them from who and so on

But needs mobile data when using hangout

I use Hangouts as my default SMS app, so it doesn't require mobile data to receive SMS text messages. You're correct in that mobile data or wi-fi is needed for an actual Hangouts IM (or an MMS message).

Following this thread too, I too have no message logs - new with an S7 - came from an S4 - so my question is, did they do away with that feature? If so how exactly does Hangouts work - in easy terms please - thank you!

If you want detailed info on messages, long press the message View attachment 226085 Then click message details

I guess what I wanted to know is is the SMS feature gone without using hangouts? I tried hangouts and I found no log - and as in logs I mean you can read your messages in the logs section - I was able to do this on my S4 - thanks!
