How can I trick my GN into thinking it is located in the US?

I have a GSM Galaxy Nexus here in Taiwan and I want to root it, mainly because in Taiwan you cannot buy apps due to some gov't dispute.

Once I root my phone, how do I trick it into thinking it is located in the US and not in Taiwan?

Try Market Enabler.

Apparently "Market Enabler" and "MarketEnabler" both don't work with the Galaxy Nexus. This is based off of people's reviews.

Any other options?
