How can I use my Google Maps voice through my Chevy MyLink without turning on the radio?

I don't want the radio on when I use Google Maps through Android auto - I only want to hear the Google lady giving me directions. It doesn't matter that the radio mutes when maps is speaking. I just don't even want the radio on. BUT, turning off the radio turns off MyLink so then Google Maps will not show on the display.
So, how do I turn off my radio but still have Google Maps running w/ blue tooth directions?

Welcome to Android Central! Does the car stereo system allow you to select Bluetooth as your source? If so, then as long as the phone isn't playing any music, you shouldn't hear anything play over the stereo system besides the voice directions.

What I would do is plug in your phone via USB and set it as the sound source. Then just don't play any music or pause any music that autoplays.

Funny how a wonderful 'free' service Google Maps provides, and the wonderful technological advancements that even allow this to feed into your car, there is always someone who wants it delivered in a very secular, granular way. Lol. What have you tried? How about tuning to a blank station? How about just putting a Bluetooth in your ear? If it exists, plug into the auxiliary port and just play the audio portion? How about getting a car mount and just play it out loud in your car?

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that but my Bluetooth becomes disabled when I start Anroid Auto. I also tried turning to a non existent radio frequency but then I get static, Tried playing Google tune and put on pause but shortly, it goes off pause. I drive an hour a day on the turnpike and like the peace and quite, interrupted only by the Google Maps lady but have not found a way, yet.
