I'm new to Android coming from a BlackBerry...

My question is...
I want to use my own sound for my e-mails in both the GMail app and the E-Mail app...
I've put all the sounds I use on my phone in a folder called "RINGTONES" and they show up for the phones ringtones, but not in either of the e-mail apps...
Is there a way I can use my own sound for these apps, please?

I'm currently using the Droid with 2.0 if that helps at all?
Thanks cause this is really bugging me!

Simply make another folder on your SD Card that is named Notifications...
Ringtones and Notifications should be in two separate folders...

so you make a folder for ringtones and then another folder for notifications and then a folder for ringtones in the notifications folder??

ringtones folder is for phone ringtones, the notifications folder is for alert sounds.

you can also make an alarms folder for choices in the alarm app.

I'm totally new to this whole process. How do i get music from my computer to my Droid 2.0? Also, how do I create a separate folder on the SD for my notifications
thxs
