How can i view the gallery with the strip of photos like it was on the s5?

[AC Question]

I just switched from the galaxy s5 to the galaxy s7. As a photographer, I am used to tapping between several photos to choose my favourite. On the s5, the gallery would open one photo and the rest in that album would be in a sliding strip along the bottom of the screen. This was PERFECT.
The s7 (and as I understand it, the s6) DOESN'T DO THIS. Please please tell me there's a setting I'm missing which can re enable it. If not, please recommend a third party gallery app which will do something like this.
