How can you Un delete files which were supposed to be on the SD card ?

I was trying to clear some space from the main device storage on my galaxy S5 so I moved a file from device storage to the SD card. The file still appeared in the device storage, so thinking it merely moved a copy to the SD card, I deleted the file from device storage, which then deleted from the SD card as well. Can I recover this file at all ?

Welcome to Android Central! What device do you have? Are you sure the file was moved to the physical microSD card, or was it moved to an "internal SD" partition of the main Internal Storage? If you moved it to "sdcard" you moved it to internal storage - which is where it was, so nothing happened (except that you deleted it). If you moved it to "extSdCard" it's on the external card. In both cases, it's a deleted file. See Recovering Deleted Files for instructions for both places.
