How can you use the G6 stock? Launcher, Skin, OS whatever you call is UGLY!!

I guess I'm more focused on the ICONS but if you don't change the launcher you can't exactly do anything about it.

I picked it up today I was surprised they had it. I'm finishing up customizing it with Nova and seriously if I wasn't an advanced user I would likely RETURN THE G6 because I can't stand the look. At least Samsung tries, I love the Wire Lines they use on the S8.

I get it this is me being anal but LG please put more effort next time.

It's just different, and takes some getting used to. Still, just like Samsung, I slap Nova on my phones right away.

I prefer LG's lighter touch with their UX over Samsung's skin, but I agree it leaves a lot to be desired visually. Plain but very functional.

Absolutely no doubt Nova Launcher will be my first download. I've never liked the stock icons on any Android.

Seems like most people use a 3rd party launcher nowadays anyway. Most of these companies to have a long ways to go with their launchers and icons to be honest.

Doesn't LG have nice icons?

I like the colourfulness of the bottom tray icons and also they have a consistent shape.

I haven't taken the time to check it out on the G6, but the V10 and V20 themes were not to my liking. There were themes that had some nice elements, but I couldn't figure out how to customize them.

I have a bunch of themes that I like on my GS7. That's one thing I'll miss if I switch to the G6.

There is an LG Store that comes with LG phones that has awesome themes for you to try out - I think it's called LG Smart World.

You can search Google play store too. Lg theme isn't there yet compare to Samsung store.

There's an app called Awesome Icons. This should allow you to change icons on most any launcher.

Nova's pretty fantastic though.

I've used nova before but it doesn't do the message windows or settings or dialer screens like the built in themes do.
