Just get Package Disabler Pro
That solved it for me.

No thanks. Just another APP on my phone that I won't use but once and pay $2.99 for it. I'll just hide and disable the apps I can't delete.

Well that sucks. Why is it not possible for users to select what apps they do/don't want from an update?

Nothing unusual. Apple does it so now Android and Samsung think they should.
