How do I access clip tray

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tad e. I touch and hold on text and add it to clip tray, but later when I try to access my clip tray and touch and hold on box, it only shows paste and will not show clip tray. I cannot open clip tray to delete older saves or access the saved texts. Should I download a new clip tray app?

If it only shows "paste" you don't have a "clip tray" that allows multiple items, you have the standard clipboard that allows a single item. You'll need a 3rd-party app to get a multi-item depth and ability to manage those items.
