How do I block a person from Gmail so that they know they are blocked

How can I block someone from Gmail so that they know they are blocked instead of their email going into spam

Welcome to Android Central! How about sending them a one-time email letting them know they've been marked as spam, then ignoring any subsequent email from them that automatically goes to the Spam inbox?

You can block a sender not sure if it notifies them being blocked

I'm getting the impression they want the person to know they're being blocked without actually telling them... a virtual snubbing so to speak

I tested it on Gmail from a Yahoo account. OP I'm sure tried the same. Nah. They won't know.

I personally would have like liked that feature with an email provider.

Even more so with texting. I use the basic Messages app.

Block a number and I'd prefer they know, but it's pointless blocking as it's often worse not seeing a text from a person, which they think you're ignoring.
