How do I change the giant clock on the lock screen?

I recently got a Motorola moto g stylus 5G 2022, running Android 12, and I'm loving it for the most part but the GIANT clock on the lock screen is bugging me to no end!! No Google search has helped, either the menu choice they recommend isn't there or the option they say to change doesn't affect the clock.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have your lockscreen set to hide all notifications? If so, try allowing lockscreen notifications. If you have a notification, that typically makes the clock smaller. Google often has a weather notification for me, so I pretty much always have a lockscreen notification present.

Is when charging or docked?
If so go to settings>display>screen saver >turn clock off or choose when to enable
